Card material PVC and PET printing differences

Common card making materials are PVC, PET, ABS, PC and other materials, PVC can be divided into soft PVC and hard PVC. hard PVC surface hardness, tensile strength, rigidity, etc. are close to the indicators of engineering materials. Soft PVC is generally used for wallpaper, flooring, ceiling and the surface layer of leather. Hard PVC becomes brittle at low temperature, sensitive to strain, and cannot be fully recovered after deformation: soft PVC becomes hard at low temperature and has poor thermal stability. So in the card making material, PVC material is considered a relatively low-end printing material.

   The common card made by PVC card base has the characteristics of waterproof, high printing brightness, long preservation time, not easy to stain, not transparent, etc. It is the most commonly used card base material in China at present. Since the production cost of PVC is lower, it is still more popular in China.

   PET card base material can support a variety of printing technology, at about 120 ℃ and the card body fast bonding. The bonding process is irreversible.
