The physical characteristics of contact ic card

Contact ic card is a kind of smart card, the chip is inlaid in the surface of the card, exposed visible, the communication method uses the chip and the contact between the card reader after reading and operation. Commonly used for gas Cards, bank Cards, membership Cards and other kinds of Cards.

   1、Physical characteristics

　　Comply with ISO7816: 1987 in all types of identification card physical characteristics and ISO7813 in the financial transaction card all size requirements, in addition, should also comply with the international standard ISO7816- 1: 1987 additional characteristics, mechanical strength and electrostatic test methods.

   2. Contact size and location.

　　Should comply with the provisions of the international standard ISO7816-2: 1988.

   3. Electrical signal and transmission protocol.

　　IC card and interface equipment between the power and information exchange should comply with the provisions of ISO / IEC7816- 3: 1989.

   4. Inter-industry exchange with the command.

　　There is a corresponding international standard ISO / IEC7816-4: 1994. but the version has not been officially adopted.

   5. The numbering system and registration process of the application identifier should be in accordance with the provisions of the international standard ISO/IEC7816-5:1994.

　　The international standards for inductive smart Cards are: ISO\IEC10536-1:1992, ISO\IEC10536-2:1995, ISO\IECDIS10536-3:1995, ISO14443-2, etc.
